I could write a novel about this session and this couple, but I’ll refrain!

Jewel is my niece, she was dating a young man from Texas; Connor. He emailed me at the beginning of the year telling me about his plans to surprise Jewel and propose to her and asked for my help in planning and photographing the event! I was more then happy to jump on board and the planning began. I got Kelli from Sugar Blossom involved and we dreamt up this greenhouse jewelry shoot! I asked Jewel to model, which she was excited to do! It was nerve wrecking keeping it a secret for so long and being part of an event that would change her life forever! I so badly wanted it all to run smoothly and not have her find out. And she didn’t! It was perfection! The day of the shoot finally arrived and Jewel and her sister Chyanne arrived to model Kelli’s beautiful bracelets! Here is the first part of the shoot! No suspicions on her part, meanwhile Kelli and I were sweating, nervous messes. Haha.

We moved the shoot over to the botanical backdrop where Connor would be making his appearance! Jewel was not expecting to see him till a month later, so you can imagine the shock of him showing up!! I had her turn and face the wall, smelling the flowers and saying I needed to photograph her gorgeous hair! Ha. The expressions say it all!

Yes Jewel, the ring is amazing! Well done Connor!

Congrats you two! I can’t wait for your wedding day in August!
