Let me take you back to a beautiful day last summer! It was the wedding day of my niece Jewel to her beloved, Connor from Texas!

Remember his surprise proposal to her last spring? See it here for a little history on these 2 lovebirds –> Jewel & Connor engaged! <–

Well after that surprise, it was a whirlwind couple of months where they decided to get married that same year in August! My mom (Jewel’s grandma) suffered from a massive aneurysm two weeks before the wedding. This added a lot of stress and sadness to the planning process. Knowing her grandma wouldn’t be able to attend the wedding and not even knowing if she’d pull through was really tough. But we went ahead with the planning and despite all the raw emotions and tears there was joy and happiness! As per usual, I’ll let the pictures show you how Jewel & Connor’s hopes and dreams came to life. Starting with Jewel and all her bridesmaids getting ready at her parents’ home!

While Mark covered the boys getting ready, I took the girls out for a little pre wedding photo session!

Just a little shout out to Tessa and Heather from Academy Florists who went out of their way to fit Jewel into their tight schedule and come up with these amazing, amazing bouquets! Jewel basically gave them free range and they did not disappoint!!

Moving on to the outdoor ceremony which took place at the beautiful Rustic Wedding Barn in Steinbach!

After exchanging their vows, Connor scooped Jewel up into his arms and carried her down the aisle! Immediately surrounded by family and friends and lots of hugs and tears of joy!

I’ll be posting part 2 soon!
