Every year I say it, and this year is no different; how is it almost 2018??

Also every year I run a nifty little app called 2017bestnine on my Instagram account (your account has to be public for the app to work).

The app collects data and gives you a grid with 9 images from your Instagram feed that received the most likes for the year!

I’m always fascinated by the results! All I can say is wow, you guys like snow! It’s a good thing I live in the Canadian prairies were we have snow 6 out of 12 months! HA

I shared these in my stories but thought I’d blog them as well along with some more details!

If you have time while in Winnipeg, go visit “Back Alley Arctic”! An alleyway full of stunning art work by Kal Barteski!

I took a walk on a super snowy day and captured this image with my Canon 6D using my 35mm f1.4 lens (yep its my fav lens & body combo).

So if you’ve been following me on Instagram for a while, you’ll recognize this row of trees! I take pictures of it often, my favourite time of course is after a fresh snowfall!

Located just outside of Portage la Prairie, MB

This image was taken with my iPhone 7 Plus as a “drive by shooting” 🙂 and edited using a few of my fav apps; AfterLight, PicTapGo, and VSCO.

And once again, my row of tiny trees!!! I actually took this image in 2016 (is that cheating?). But posted it again to announce availability as a holiday card or print!

Believe it or not, taken with my iPhone 7 Plus!

Thats a wrap folks! Thanks for all the love in 2017!

Happy New Year!!
