Hello,
My name is Rosie and I’d like to welcome you to my little space on the web! I’m a mother to 4 boys, ages 9 through 19! Wife to Mark; my Seattle boy! Currently living in a 11oo sq ft bungalow on the outskirts of a small town in the Canadian prairies.
When I first met Mark, he owned a Minolta film camera and always had it on hand! Our dating years were all long distance, so whenever we met up in Seattle or Winnipeg he made sure to capture it all on film. He eventually taught me how to use the camera and it was like I had found a new me! Being naturally shy the camera gave me a new found freedom to express myself and capture emotions and beauty I had been observing my whole life. I have precise memories of my childhood and teenage years where I’d mentally imprint moments and landscapes in my mind so I wouldn’t ever forget! Being an extremely detailed person, the camera has given me an outlet to find and express all the beauty that surrounds me everywhere I go! I love capturing daily life at home, travels with my family, breathtaking landscapes, pretty details, and all the emotions life has to offer!
I do shoot digital as well but with film photography being my first love, I’m slowly introducing it into most of my client work and hope to shoot it more and more. Film to me is timeless and captures light and colours so effortlessly! I hope you too will fall in love with film as you scroll through my portfolio!
A little more about me; I’m a seeker of light, child of God, lover of wide open spaces, creamy whites & pinks, florals, ripped jeans, comfy sweaters, hats, fitness, reading, outdoor adventures, our tiny cabin in the woods, thunderstorms, secluded lakes, snow covered trees, and my very large family!
